Donald Glover is blowing up, and while I have yet to convince Dowks of his undeniable awesomeness, no one can deny his hipster credentials. In the vein of Chiddy Bang, he has taken some huge indie tracks and turned them into brilliant mash-ups he drops hilarious lines over.

As former writer for 30 Rock, and current cast member of Community, it’s unclear how serious he is about his rap career as Childish Gambino, but I’m enjoying his insights into the tension of being a hipster MC. His take on Jamie XX’s remix of Adele’s ‘Rolling in the Deep’ might be my favorite track of his , with some very apropos observations about what it feels like to be dumped, while ‘Freaks and Geeks’ takes a more serious turn but is slowly growing on me.
