My street smart cuz, Adam, turned me on to the new Cut Copy cd back in early February. I’ve been jamming out to them for about a month and a half now and I’m definitely impressed (yes I know I’m certainly behind the times). I feel like they’ve got a pretty interesting sound, lyrically akin to an indie version of U2 or perhaps Yeasayers with a beat produced by LCD Soundsystem.

I’m pumped to see them perform this coming Tuesday at SoDo. If you enjoy any of the above bands, you should look into Zonoscope, released just this year to much critical acclaim. Need You Now is a good representation of their music, and you’ll understand where I’m coming from on the above comparisons.
