Some bands have the capacity to continue to make wonderfully creative new music while still pulling you back to a specific time. For me that band will always be Beirut and their ability to remind me of the month I lived on my sister’s couch in Paris. This is probably because they are influenced by their residency there, or possibly its all in my head, but either way I’m excited for a new album from them and this new track is quite lovely.
