While the cuz respectfully declined my request for a little guest post genius, he delivered to me, Heart It Races, by Dr. Dog.  Much like everything else that I experience in conjunction with the Mysorewala family, the song exhibits an unusually high degree of awesome.

The song is suuuuuper catchy.  The bass line has seemingly worked it’s way into my blood stream and I just start bouncing whenever I hear it.  Enter the almost banjo like guitar riffs, playful keyboard, with a few boom da da das, and I’m grinning from ear to ear.

Dr. Dog seems like the kind of band you really want to see in some tiny little venue (pls to come to Crocodile, guys).  If I had to guess, I’d bet they start rocking the set from song one, and then keep it going for as long as they can.  In fact, this song reminds me of the Family Guy episode when Stewie starts rocking out on the banjo and jubilantly declares, “I’ve got blisters on me fingers!”  Fun, incarnate in a song.
